Fat Grafting & Injections

(Fat Transfer)

Dr Jesse Kenton-Smith Plastic Surgeon

Fat grafting is a technique where your fat is used to fill lines and contours in your face. Fat is initially harvested via liposuction to the abdomen or thighs. This is then purified and injected, using a criss-cross pattern of very fine tunnels into the portion of the face that requires filling. Fat grafting can improve the white roll of the lip, rejuvenate thin lips and soften the nasolabial folds that run from the corner of the nose down the side of the mouth. Since the fat is living tissue, the fat that remains alive at three months remains permanently. Fat grafting is only available with face and neck-lift surgery. Fat graft is not available as a cosmetic procedure on its own.

Fat grafting costs vary according to how much is required to achieve the desired effect, and will be calculated following consultation for face and neck lift.
